Join the Waterman Alumnae Group on Thursday, June 25 at 2pm for The Encore Theatre’s production of Fiddler on the Roof.
This beloved musical features Hazzan Daniel Eli Friedman as Tevye. Friedman is a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film and Television and holds a Master’s in Jewish Sacred Music from The Academy for Jewish Religion–California. Before finding his calling as a Cantor, Daniel spent 15 years based in New York City, making a living as an actor doing commercials, guest spots on TV shows, and appearing on Broadway in National and International tours of Les Misérables, CATS, and Forever Plaid, as well as Regional productions of Falsettos, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and The God of Isaac to name a few. Today, he brings his love of performance and storytelling to the world of sacred music as Cantor of Temple Ramat Zion in Northridge, CA where he continues to blend theatre and sacred music through producing, directing and performing in concerts, developing creative worship experiences, and inspiring Jewish Musicians to create service experiences.
